When placed in a sealed bag with your jewelry, 3M (tm) TARNISH-SHIELD strips work by absorbing gases that can cause tarnish. A patented product that we have used in our store for many years, we have found that they work wonders in reducing the amount of silver cleaning we have to do in our cases with silver jewelry in them. These strips can be cut into several pieces for placement in jewelry boxes or travel cases. These 2" x 5" strips DO NOT contain anything that will bleed onto other fabrics.
