This pendant contains a 2"tall x 1-5/8"wide geode stalactite slice set in a hand-made sterling silver mounting with a 4mm mozambique garnet set in a 14k white gold basket-style mounting. The 18 inch 7-strand brown colored nylon coated cable has a 14K white gold bayonet style clasp. Geode stalactite slices are obtained from giant geodes which form stalactites from the inside top of the geode, which are cut off in slices. The striated material in the center of the slice is the host stone, most commonly agate. The outside crystal formations are most commonly amethyst, but can be citrine or white (clear) quartz and even a combination. Each of our pendants are hand-made to fit the shape of the geode slice and sometimes accented with complimenting gems or decorative metal-smithing.
