The Karat Patch opened in 1992 and is a full service jewelry design, manufacturing, repair and retail store located at 997 E. FM 700 in Big Spring, Texas.

Our city is located at the crossroads of Texas Hiway 87 and Interstate 20 in West Texas.

The business is owned and operated by Jay and Kim Phinney. Jay has been involved in the jewelry industry for 23 years, always at the jewelry making bench. The Karat Patch exclusively features his jewelry artistry and craftsmanship throughout the store. His wife Kim has a long family history in jewelry sales, is the president of The Karat Patch, Incorporated and Chief Office Operator. 

The Karat Patch is an authorized CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE watch dealer, sells jewelry cases and watch rotators, gifts, and all types of jewelry care products. 

The Karat Patch is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 am-5:30 pm CST, and is closed on Saturdays. Appointments are available on Saturdays with 2 weeks advance notice. The Karat Patch is open on the Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
